ACHI took part in the XXV All-Russian conference "State regulation in the field of circulation of medicines and medical devices"

On May 30-31, 2023, the XXV All-Russian Conference "State Regulation in the Sphere of Circulation of Medicines and Medical Devices" was held in Ryazan, organized by the Federal Service for Surveillance in Health with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

During the event, meetings were held on the issues of regulation and control and supervisory activities in the field of circulation of medicines, ensuring quality testing in current conditions, developing approaches to licensing medical and pharmaceutical activities, as well as regulating the Internet trade in medicines, education in pharmaceutical industry and the training of qualified pharmaceutical and medical personnel.

The conference traditionally brings together more than 1,000 specialists in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, representatives of federal and regional legislative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation, specialized foreign regulatory authorities, research and public organizations, professional associations, wholesale and retail organizations and manufacturers of medical products.

In the program of the conference, a session was held entitled "The Importance of a Pharmacy Organization in the Modern System of Drug Provision". During the session, ACHI Executive Director Elena Nevolina made a presentation on the topic “Counseling is an important element in the activities of a pharmacy organization” and presented the results of a survey conducted by the Association in 2022 among consumers, pharmaceutical and medical workers on their perception of the function of pharmaceutical counseling, on the needs of the population for competent information about safe boundaries for the responsible self-care, the willingness of pharmacists to provide pharmaceutical care, and the need to strengthen partnerships between pharmacists and medical professionals as healthcare providers for the benefit of patients and consumers. According to the results of the conference listeners' voting, E. Nevolina's report gained more than 1000 votes and was recognized as the most interesting.
